The cell phone merry-go-round

We're on the cell phone merry-go-round. It started when my wife wanted a a new cell phone for Christmas--a RAZR of course. I have to say that I don't understand the national obsession with the Moto RAZR, but it is undeniably true that the ladies love them.

So we get the RAZR, and for the first time ever (we had previously owned the absolute bottom-of-the-line phones) we can upload ringtones from our own music collections, transfer pictures easily. But then I get jealous. My wife has a super-cool ring tone, a trumpet blast from an old Dixieland band, and I was stuck with the LG CG225, if you can imagine that.

So now I'm shopping for a new cell phone, but mine has to be better than hers. Don't tell. I'm searching for a smart phone over at wirefly (they have great prices and free shipping) and I'm willing to take the hit on the plan. Right now I'm leaning toward a Treo, or possibly a Symbian 60 phone from Nokia. Suggestions?
